Houtman watches is an Australian watch brand based in Perth, Western Australia.

Created from a passion of design, wristwatches, and the outdoors, Houtman watches aim to make tough and reliable men’s watches, well finished, and well spec’d.

Our first collection, The Pilbara series, is an automatic diver’s watch; with inspiration drawn from Western Australia’s Pilbara Region.

Each Pilbara Series dive watch is Waterproof tested to 200m, feature a stainless-steel case with sapphire crystal, automatic movement, and are shipped with a solid stainless-steel bracelet and additional FKM rubber strap. We like to think it is the best sports watch for men in its price category.  

Our goal is to deliver subtle and classic design, well-proportioned easy wearing wristwatches that will stand the test of time. While pleasing to look at, our watches are designed with the spirit of adventure in mind, robust and well built!

The Creator

Growing up on the coast of Western Australia it was almost inevitable that I developed an interest in the outdoors, travel and being on the water; the outback adventure, remote camping and fishing.

When a long-held passion for watches was reignited in 2018, I set on a quest to see if it would be possible to make my own watch and try to instill some Western Australian flavour within.

After various trips overseas, trade shows, supplier and factory visits, and some false starts with manufacturers, I was lucky enough to build a network of trusted suppliers who could fulfil all requirements.

Samples arrived in late 2020 and after some minor revisions, I was pleased to be able to offer my first design, the Pilbara Series, in December 2021. 2022 has been a year of growth and learning, and I am excited to be launching a number of new models late this year – please do stay tuned!
